Ingredients

4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 egg whites
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, grated
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 lemon zest
1 tablespoon cornstarch (for sauce)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds


Instructions

Trim any excess fat from the chicken breasts, wash, and drain well. Cut them into 1-inch pieces to ensure even cooking.

In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites until they are frothy.

On a plate, combine the cornstarch and salt. Stir until well-dispersed.

Dip each chicken piece in the whisked egg whites, then dredge in the cornstarch mixture. Arrange on a baking sheet.

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes until cooked through.

In a pan, combine lemon juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, lemon zest, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Stir until smooth and bring to heat.

Gently add the baked chicken pieces to the sauce, tossing to coat them evenly.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired for an extra crunch.
